Broken listings package

The latest tetex distribution (v2.0.2-36) available using fink 0.7.1 (actually I installed it using the apt-get command) on Mac OS X has a broken listings package. In fact, the file listings.sty is missing, but all other files seem to be present (/sw/share/texmf/tex/latex/listings). To quickly fix the bug and install the latest version of listings, download the archive, expand it and enter following commands in your terminal:

appletree:~/listings-1.3 user$ latex listings-1.3.ins
appletree:~/listings-1.3 user$ sudo cp *.sty *.cfg /sw/share/texmf/tex/latex/listings/
appletree:~/listings-1.3 user$ sudo texhash

Thanks for the info, worked fine for me.
Because of my umask, I also needed:
    chmod 644 /sw/share/texmf/tex/latex/listings/listings.sty

Also needed on Ubuntu Linux 5.04. Path is however /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/listings/

    Best wishes and thanks!
