Kukushka

After having seen 2 american movies it was time for something different. Kukushka from Aleksandr Rogozhkin is really funny. There is a lot of talking even though the 3 characters don’t speak the same language.

Matrix Revolutions

Did anyone expect, that all the question would be answered in the last part of the trilogy? I think no. And according to that, the movie was pretty good. A movie where everything is explained is boring. But I would like to know, how agent Smith could transfer his mind to a person living outside of the Matrix! That would confirm the fact that the real world is really a second level of the matrix.

Kill Bill

It was time for a new log entry, so I decided to write some lines about the movie Kill Bill I saw yesterday evening.
First, I have to say that this is the best Tarantino movie I have ever seen. I belong to the group of people who hate Pulp Fiction and I must say I liked Kill Bill much better. Second, well, the movie was fun. Not a big story, but who expects a big story in Tarantino movie? And the violence, it was so exaggerated that it was not shocking I think.
Next movie: Matrix Revolutions tonight!

Comment Spam

It’s unbelievable, there were about 5 spam comments in this web-log. I banned the originator IP numbers for now, but I think there should be a better solution. If comment spamming would not stop, I would have to deactivate the message comments I guess.

Back in Town

It has been almost one week since I returned from Darmstadt (Germany) to Zurich. There were quite a lot of things going on during the first days of this semester at university.
I also managed to repair my homepage and everything should be working like before. I accidentally erased the .htaccess file which redirects all requests to my self made website engine application written in PHP.

PowerToys for Windows

Ben blogs about a way to bring Exposé functionality to Windows XP. Using the Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP, you can have an adequate replacement for Exposé. I would like to have some more information about that, since there where no screenshots available on the web and I don’t have Windows XP installed here (at work). But I doubt that this is comparable to Apple’s solution.

Overtime

For the last couple of days (or even weeks?) I have been working overtime at ESA. It’s like the worst paid employees have the highest work time. Indeed, if I had a regular positon here, I would not do such a thing, but my trainingship beeing over in 2 weeks, I really want to speed up the development of my project.
After all, it’s nice to be able to work without any interruption – the productivity is about twice as much as during regular working days and hours.

Awesome looking laptop?

laptops.png Ben thinks, his new laptop from HP is an “awsome” looking laptop.
First of all, “awsome” is really spelled “awesome”, and second, if you want to know how awesome looking laptops really look like, you better check out Apple‘s brand new PowerBook lineup and third: Please please please Ben, do post some screen optimized images on your weblog, not the raw file originating from your digital camera. It takes hours to load when you have a slow network connection.
Yes, I happen to use a modem connection occasionally these days.

Customer driven development

As Huebi stated on his weblog that he wanted to install ImageAlbum, I thought I might release an updated version of it with easier application setup and some bigfixes. I hope I will have the release ready in a few hours.
